Poverty is one of the most pressing challenges our world faces today. According to the World Bank, around 8.5% of the world lives in extreme poverty. Women and children often bear the brunt, with 1 in every 10 women living in extreme poverty, and roughly 1 billion children forced to forgo their most basic needs like proper nutrition, clean water, and essential housing.

Access to Education

Our education programs help children break the cycle of poverty and provide access to the tools they need to build better lives for themselves for generations to come.

How? By enrolling 7,000+ out-of-school children in school in Afghanistan, rehabilitating eight schools in Malawi, and training teachers in psychosocial support for children in Iraq.

Access to Clean Water

At IRUSA, our vision is a world free of poverty, and access to clean water is a stepping-stone in achieving it.
