Islamic Relief often appeals for funds to support our ongoing projects or to help us respond to new emergencies, and we are thankful for our supporters who generously respond.
Unfortunately, sometimes people who have no connection to Islamic Relief use our name and logo to fraudulently try to raise their own funds. Other scammers may pretend to be Islamic Relief to try and obtain people’s personal or financial information.
We try to do everything we can to stop this, but this is not always possible. If you see or receive any request for money that you believe may not be genuine, please do report it to us by contacting donorcare@irusa.org or 1-855-447-1001.
Here are some recent examples:
In April 2024, IRUSA was made aware by a donor that IRUSA images were being circulated and used to solicit for donations under a group that claimed to be Islamic Relief USA or connected to an IRUSA initiative.
While the images are IRUSA’s, the content superimposed on them as well as the social media handles and phone numbers are not–they are not owned or managed by IRUSA. We do not know where any donations made to this group will go, and we encourage everyone to use caution and to report any suspicious content to donorcare@irusa.org or 1-855-447-1001 when you see it.
Please also note: Islamic Relief never charges any recruitment fees for job applications. If someone claiming to be a recruiter for Islamic Relief ever asks you to make a payment as part of the application process, this is not genuine. Please report this to jobs@irusa.org .
