Following the United Nations General Assembly’s vote, Islamic Relief USA, a nonprofit humanitarian and advocacy organization, expressed support for Resolution 43, which calls for ending the escalation between Israel and Palestine.
“Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA) was pleased with the strong message from the UN General Assembly regarding the escalation and suffering taking place in the Palestinian territory.
A very large majority of the 124 nation voted in favor of the resolution, 43 abstained and only 14 voted against,” Islamic Relief USA said in a statement.
“While an important statement, it will hold little value without positive action. We request the world community to continually call for the urgent need to halt escalations in Palestine and work to improve their quality of life. One of Islamic Relief USA’s values is social justice, and Palestinians fundamental human rights and dignity must be valued. and entrenches discrimination and poverty. Lasting peace is impossible without it ending
