Hearing Treatment for Children with Hearing Loss in Gaza
IRUSA provided 142 hearing aids to 72 children and replaced cochlear implant devices for 39 children in Gaza.
Hearing Treatment in Lebanon and Gaza
IRUSA improved access to high-quality hearing treatment for underserved communities. In Lebanon, we performed 41 cochlear implant surgeries and established a state-of-the-art hearing center in Saida. In Gaza, we distributed 629 hearing aids to children and adults with hearing loss. Due to the siege that began in March 2025, there was a significant delay in delivery, and yet the devices were successfully brought into Gaza in December 2025 following extensive logistical coordination with PAMA, UNDP, and WHO.
