Winter has arrived and for millions of people worldwide, this means an even greater struggle for survival.
Across the globe, a staggering 783 million people are living in poverty. In countries such as Myanmar, Syria and Yemen, millions of vulnerable men, women and children are now facing the struggles of the harsh cold weather, without shelter, nutritious meals, warm clothing or medical care.
These men, women and children wish winter wouldn’t come at all.
Battling poverty and hunger, fleeing conflict and natural disaster – their winter couldn’t be more different to ours.
We may all share one winter, but our lives are worlds apart.
