Khetam is a 37-year-old widow and a mother of seven orphans. She is suffering through various medical conditions, including cancer and multiple sclerosis. Through the Islamic Relief medical fund, she was able to get her treatment and follow-up scans. But more than that, she is now able to care for her children more easily.
Despite the circumstances of living in the Gaza Camp in Jordan, Khetam remains positive for her children, and like any mother wants the best for them in the future.
As we were driving she remarked about her daughter doing well on an exam she had. She was really worried about the exam and she was happy she did well. She said if she could take all the illness from her daughter and give it to herself she would do it.
