Islamic Relief USA will join hundreds of volunteers from Volunteer Alexandria and the City of Alexandria to provide community service at numerous sites throughout the city. IRUSA volunteers will show off their artistic abilities in painting and decorating the Department of Community and Human Services’ (DCHS) foster care facility.
“We work and operate out of the city of Alexandria. It is our privilege to contribute our time in making this city a great city of choice for living, working and generally enjoying. We are honored and humbled to be able to take part this year once more in the Spring of Alexandria activities,” said Christina Tobias-Nahi, Director of Public Affairs at IRUSA.
This Annual Spring for Alexandria Community Service Day will bring together businesses, nonprofits, neighbors and the City of Alexandria agencies to honor Alexandria’s proud tradition of philanthropy and community service and ensure it continues to thrive.
