Alexandria, VA – On the 6th anniversary of the Syrian crisis, Islamic Relief USA will hold its 3rd Skate for Syria event on March 24th at the SkateQuest ice rink in Reston, VA. It is one of a series of charity events that started throughout the month of March under the March Goodness campaign.
Skate for Syria is a fundraising event that aims to raise awareness about the Syrian cause and to reduce the suffering that Syrian people are facing as a result of the ongoing crisis there. It also aims to bring community members closer together in a fun way to help support a humanitarian cause.
Participating skaters will have the opportunity to form their own teams on launchgood.com/Syria to help with the fundraising process.
“What makes Skate for Syria a special fundraising event is that it provides an opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a group activity for a good cause,” said Alaa Mohamed, Event Coordinator at IRUSA.
