IRUSA’s Eid Toy Drive

Each year in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, Islamic Relief USA works with volunteers across the country and local nonprofit organizations to collect brand new toys and games for children in need.

Who organizes the Eid Toy Drives?
The Eid Toy Drive is a volunteer-run project from start to finish! Every year, amazing volunteers get involved to bring smiles to children in their local communities. The volunteers pick a day to host the drive, contact community members, establish a venue, and manage the drive from start to finish with help from IRUSA’s staff.

Who receives the toys?
Islamic Relief USA works with other nonprofit organizations across the country to distribute the Eid toys collected. Some of the partner organizations work with refugee children; others work in impoverished communities—but all of our Eid Toy Drive partners work with children whose families may not be able to afford toys for Eid. Islamic Relief USA distributes toys to children based on the need, and we do not discriminate for any reason, including faith. Is there an organization you know that would be a great partner for this? Let us know!

How can I organize an Eid Toy Drive?
Our application process is currently on pause while we put together an action plan to make sure our future Eid Toy Drives are  as safe as can be. In the meantime, if you’re thinking ahead to next year (insha’Allah by then, we’ll be able to get wrapping together!), give us a shout and let us know so that we can keep your info ready to go!
