Dec. 28, 2015—Texas emergency crews are responding after tornadoes hit the area the day after Christmas leveling homes and downing power just before blizzard conditions are due to arrive.
Organizations across the American Muslim Relief community—including Islamic Relief USA, BaitulMaal, ICNA Relief, Life, United Muslim Relief and Zakat Foundation of America—have come together to pledge their aid both in terms of financial assistance and boots on the ground as part of the recovery efforts.
This declaration of support is to show solidarity with our neighbors who have been impacted by the disaster, something our faith calls upon us to do.
