This week B.C. welcomes a special guest: Linda Sarsour, and she is joined by IRUSA’s own Said Durrah, who currently serves as the organization’s Volunteer Manager.

In addition to being a long-time supporter of IRUSA, Linda Sarsour is an American political activist and former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. She advocates on behalf of American Muslims and other civil rights issues such as police brutality, immigration policy, and mass incarceration.

In this episode, B.C., Said, and Linda talk about the Promise for Palestine tour and Linda’s experience visiting IRUSA projects abroad.

She shares special stories about her interactions with children in refugee camps, like an experience she had asking a group of young girls to take a photo. When they wouldn’t smile, they revealed that they were insecure about people in America seeing their decayed teeth.

“I hope people hear these stories and believe that they deserve more,” Linda says.

Tune in for more stories like this, and for your weekly dose of inspiration. This episode features discussions about important topics like media fatigue, Palestine, and how we can do more.
