The Philippines has been ranked as one of the nations most vulnerable to climate disasters due to its geography. In turn, this has led to greater intensity and power in tropical storms. The latest emergency, Tropical Storm Nalgae (Paeng), left trails of devastation across the country. In addition, one-quarter of the population lives below the poverty line. But one thing remains clear. The people of the Philippines are resilient, and with the support of donors like you, families in need can break the chains of poverty and move towards building sustainable livelihoods.
