A Fort Wayne, IN professor shares his unique experience raising money for Islamic Relief USA’s East Africa Crisis campaign:

“FORT WAYNE – The faces of famine are familiar, although most of us don’t know them: emaciated, eyes wide and serious.

Many of us register what’s happening in the Horn of Africa briefly, perhaps “tsk-tsk” our sympathy for another faraway tragedy before changing the channel.

Abdalla Hazaimeh could change the channel, but he couldn’t turn off the images in his mind when he thought about the growing famine in Somalia.”
