Islamic Relief USA (IRUK) is the UK-based fundraising, campaigns and advocacy arm of Islamic Relief Worldwide, an international humanitarian and relief agency dedicated to reducing the effects of poverty around the world. Headquartered in London, IRUK has a number of regional offices around the UK employing around 80 staff and raising circa £25 million in donations annually.
As IRUK embarks on a new 5 year strategy, there is an increased focus on serving, mobilising and retaining growing numbers of donor and supporters to ensure that Islamic Relief’s vital humanitarian programmes around the world are funded for the best possible impact. In order for IRUK to effectively serve it’s donors and supporters, the development and implementation of a robust and comprehensive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform is required to foster lasting stakeholder relationships, build the Islamic Relief brand, increase fundraising revenues and continually improve operating efficiency.
Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge (RE) is IRUK’s current CRM solution, a comprehensive suite of fundraising specific functionality albeit utilised only to a limited extent. RE has been in place for several years with all donations captured centrally either directly or through an integration platform. However, as the focus of RE is donations, many interactions are not captured and it is felt that the current technology setup is not suitable for the kinds of donor engagement required for IRUK’s new strategy
The purpose of this project is to create a CRM and data driven donor interaction system and model for IRUK.
