IRUSA is seeking a qualified individual with a background in creating formatted reports.. The Research and Certification Intern will be researching different nonprofits on how they execute training programs internally and externally. The Research and Certification Intern will be assisting in the Volunteer Management Office. Our team believes that internships are meant to provide a dynamic experience that challenges you and equips you with irreplaceable skills.
This is an unpaid volunteer position, based at IRUSA’s office in Alexandria, VA. The intern will work closely with our Assistant Director of Volunteer Engagement to further the mission of Islamic Relief USA through researching other non-profits on their certification program so that IRUSA can successfully certify volunteers who have gone through training(ie DRT, Tabling, Meal Pack Leadership, etc).
We require the following: an excellent writer who is self-motivated, autonomous, efficient, organized, articulate, very computer and internet literate, very familiar with research, and to write academically advanced reports. Interns looking for a hands-on approach will gather in-depth volunteerism knowledge, build an expert Face-to-Face relationship-building experience, and foster a collective team mentality- while aiding Islamic Relief’s Mission of worldwide relief.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
●Assist in the Research of other Non-Profits Certification timelines for volunteers
●Assists in a standard curriculum template for a Certification Program
●Helps with the creation of the standard curriculum template, and a training timeline
Qualifications and Competencies:
●Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Documents
●Practical communications skills should include significant exposure to generating reports
●Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
●Independent and Self Motivated to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
●Ability to work collaboratively
