OnIslam Reports – Joining local and international rescue efforts, Muslim charities have rushed to offer humanitarian assistance to thousands of people affected by the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“Our teams in Afghanistan and Pakistan have been mobilized. They have been trained to respond to these situations. We have stocks of essential items such as tents in-country in Pakistan ready for immediate use,” Umair Hasan, Islamic Relief’s regional humanitarian manager for Asia, said in a statement obtained by OnIslam.net
