“ Volunteers cleaned up and repaired Community Praise Church for Community Service Day.
From Islamic Relief USA: As part of Community Service Day in the city of Alexandria, employees from Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA), a city-based nonprofit humanitarian and advocacy organization that works on alleviating poverty in more than 40 countries, volunteered on Friday, May 11, at Community Praise Church, located at 1400 Russell Road.
Alongside volunteers from the church, IRUSA members sanded, patched and painted several walls at the house of worship. Other individuals took part in a “de-cluttering” project, reorganizing shelves that were filled with miscellaneous items.
The project served as an example of interfaith work and cooperation.”
