Eater:"Linger, Root Down, Vital Root, Ophelia's Donate to Islamic Relief USA" - Islamic Relief USA

On the eve of Denver Restaurant Week, Edible Beats, which owns Root Down, Linger, Ophelia’s, and Vital Root, announced that it will be giving back 10 percent of every restaurant week dinner sold at every restaurant to the Islamic Relief USA. They are currently running a “Pay Attention to Syria” campaign.

The restaurant group explained its decision with stats from the affected area. Those include the fact that a half of those affected by the crisis are children– with more than 50% of Syrian children no longer attending school. The war, which started five years ago, has led to towns being decimated, schools being closed, and food and clean water being scarce. For young kids, this is the only way they have known life.
