BURBANK, California (April 8, 2005) – The Muslim Student Association at
Southern Methodist University is celebrating its 20th anniversary by holding a
fund-raising benefit dinner for ‘Children in Need’ throughout the world. The
funds will be collected by Burbank, CA based charity Islamic Relief USA.
The Muslim Student Association at the University of Texas at Dallas is also
sponsoring the event. Among the speakers at the event is internationally-
recognized Muslim leader Imam Siraj Wahhaj from Brooklyn, NY. In addition,
Islamic Relief representative Anwar Khan will be making a presentation about
its relief and development projects to help needy children in different
countries.
