IRUSA provides grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the country, to provide access to quality health care; to promote sustainable socio-economic development; and to elevate the standard of living of those in need.

To apply for a grant from IRUSA, you will need to provide the following:

  • Information about your organization (as required in the application)
  • IRS Tax exemption letter
  • Proof of valid state registration
  • A narrative and financial proposal that includes explanations about the following:
    • Why you are requesting the grant
    • How the grant will be used
    • What other financial resources are available to your organization

Silver Anniversary Community Investment Project Grant: New submission date >> June 15

We are pleased to announce Islamic Relief USA’s Silver Anniversary Community Investment Project Grant. This grant opportunity’s goal is to develop new bridge-building initiatives in American neighborhoods and communities. The money will be made available in small grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.

Islamic Relief USA is now accepting Letters of Interest (LOIs) from nonprofit, faith-based, or community-based organizations or other eligible entities seeking to participate in this program. The strongest LOIs will result in an invitation to submit a full proposal for funding. We have extended the submission date to June 15. Submit all Letters of Interest to grants@irusa.org by June 15 to be considered.

Grant Cycle

Grant applications for 501(c)(3) organizations will now only be accepted within the following 2 cycles annually (Please note: incomplete applications will not be considered):

  1. January 1 – March 31**
  2. July 1 – September 31

Grants Project Priority

Projects focused on the following areas will be given priority:

  • Refugee Resettlement
  • Food Security and Livelihood
  • Disaster Response and Preparedness
  • Health Services and Promotion
