American Red Cross Grants $500,000 to Islamic Relief USA For Hurricane Harvey Relief

Alexandria, VA – Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA) has received a nearly $500,000 grant from the American Red Cross (ARC) to implement rebuilding projects and programs for residents who lost their homes during Hurricane Harvey in August 2017.

The Red Cross is working with dozens of disaster partners to support feeding, child care, disaster assessment and other disaster services. Some of the partners we are coordinating with include Americorps NCCC, Church of the Brethren Children’s Disaster Services, Save the Children, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and Islamic Relief USA.

Islamic Relief USA Volunteers Aiding Hurricane Harvey Evacuees

Dallas, Texas – Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA) volunteers have set up in Dallas to help provide support and services to residents who evacuated their homes because of Hurricane Harvey, which recently was downgraded to a tropical storm, but still has the potential to cause massive damage.
