Islamic Relief USA is commemorating boxer Muhammad Ali by pledging to continue his legacy in helping those in need and to build on his vision for a better world.

“With the passing of Muhammad Ali we lost one of the greatest Muslims in American history.” Said Anwar Khan, Islamic Relief’s USA Chief Executive Officer.  “He is irreplaceable but if we believe in what he stood for then we should carry on his vision.  Humanitarian work was one of his passions and we at Islamic Relief are inspired by his legacy and reconfirm our conviction to continue our humanitarian mission in the US and abroad.” Khan added

Islamic Relief USA also will be sending a delegation to attend the funeral and commemoration ceremony scheduled to be offered Thursday in Louisville, KY.
