Islamic Relief USA declared a State of Emergency in Italy today in response to the devastating earthquake that struck the central parts of the country last Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people.
Islamic Relief Italy is assisting the Civil Protection Agency and Red Cross Society as part of the coordination cluster and has started emergency aid distribution since Wednesday to families most affected by the disaster. Assistance also included clearing debris and setting up tent areas.
