In late November 2014, heavy storms caused devastating floods that swept through Morocco. Areas including Guelmin, Agadir and Ourrzazate, as well as tourist hub Marrakesh, were hit hard. There were reports that at least 100 homes were destroyed, and 100 roads, including six major highways, were impassable.
While Morocco has experienced major flooding in the past, eyewitnesses say that this was the worst they’d seen in decades.
Islamic Relief teams moved quickly to provide aid to survivors.
